Title: Kensington Stone ...

Comments on this well known 1300 AD Rune text would be appreciated:

My view  is that the term cryptography was over used.  Norse priest wrote names and dates in these "codes"  for 100 to 200 years ...  numbering words per line ... was not new ... Hebrew texts from 100 BC  counted the number of letters per line in a more sophisticated manner.

Clearly Norse explorers and colonist visited Vinland for 300 years ... well before Columbus ...  a set of facts that seem not to impress many folks today outside of Norway and its neighbors.

Yeah, I highly doubt explorers would leave behind a cipher. Interesting find, though! And yes, I've heard a lot about earlier and earlier estimates for when people first explored the Americas. They certainly weren't the first ones.
