Bizarre... I came pretty close to figuring out the pattern behind factoring large primes, but no cigar. Perhaps I should keep quiet on that front.
It's interesting that they canceled this:

It's not just the cost of replacing AES but government cyphers are probably based on primes too. Also, we all know that NSA can read AES (remember the clipper chip fiasco) and they would want to backdoor any new standard.
