We were at our old house in Sterling, and Dad was showing off his electrical engineer skills while fixing some circuits that were causing lights to be on the blink. He was somehow able to slide up and down the ladder without using the steps. At one point, there was some kind of weird snowstorm going on and something outside was malfunctioning due to government agents, so a woman showed up to help fix it. We'll call her Vicky for now. Vicky had some kind of interesting power that allowed her to teleport when she sensed something was off. It was a bit in its infancy though, and she only detected major things going wrong. Anyways, things got fixed and the government agents were upset. They trapped her in their government lab by faking an emergency, and experimented on her. They got her to the point where she was aware of the entire probability field, but made it so she couldn't actually teleport or do anything about what she saw. She could only observe, knowing what had to be done to fix things. She managed to escape the lab, but she began a descent into madness as she tried to live an ordinary life and became like a grumpy "Karen" constantly complaining because she couldn't actually fix things. At some point, however, she realized she still had power over her own mind, and meditated to see if she could get rid of the mental blocks that were in the way. She managed to get past a confusing room that seemed to be interference from a dog nearby, since the dog was never allowed into the other room which represented where the block was. Once she got inside the other room, she reached out to her past self(?) and helped them remember a special time which was likely the spark that started her original powers. She also shared the new knowledge so they could prevent the trap that the government agency sprung. This altered the present, and she was suddenly free and able to teleport and fix things again. However, she was only one person and there were so many things in the world that needed fixing. She reached out to me for help...
