I started out living in a floating city and at one point "fell" down to the Earth below, with no money to return. I found out that there was a lot of people down there who couldn't afford the floating cities and had to live in near-dark most of the time due to the floating cities blocking out the sun.
I started playing at one of the arcades and fell in love with a nice woman, so we went out for a while. At one point I met a dragon who could turn into a woman, and she was eager to win my affections so at one point "stole" some of the personality and appearance of girlfriend #1 and sent that girlfriend home. I was swooned by the odd mixture of personality, either way I now had a dragon girlfriend. She couldn't keep up the magic needed to maintain that duality, so eventually restored girlfriend #1's attributes, and somehow drama was resolved and I had two girlfriends. At one point, the sky started getting more ominous than usual, and we all hid indoors as fast as possible while planes from the upper echelons made it down below and started firing on civilians. I ended up in a small bathroom with someone I didn't know. The raid took a very long time, about a month, and we ended up eating parts of each other's bodies just to survive until the raid was over. When we all finally emerged, we could actually see the sun, and for some people it was the first time in their lives. It was presumed that a lot of floating cities ended up being destroyed in the war that occurred in the upper echelons. I went to someone's place to relax a bit after that long month and found out they had a bit of advance notice about the raid coming because their tree was slowly dying. Apparently they were able to cultivate that tree with very little light, but when air quality worsened, the tree's leaves started turning an odd color. We had a small house party and enjoyed the free drinks and snacks. Some people in charge in the lower echelons didn't like the sun, and came up with a plan to destroy / obscure it. They ended up sending nukes to the sun to permanently dim it, and after that occurred things were much dimmer than they were before the raid. We were still able to survive just fine though, since most of us were used to low light conditions. However, there was a later event that none of us could have foreseen... About a year into the recovery, all of the flying saucers we had on our planet started rising into the air and vibrating ominously. Supposedly we had received them on loan from aliens 50,000 years ago and never paid that loan, so as punishment they ended up using remote control to EMP blast the entire planet before bringing the flying saucers back home. This devastated our society, and since our mechanisms for living in low light conditions were now destroyed, we had no way to keep growing crops. Some of us started genetically evolving ways to cope, but it wasn't enough. Our civilization slowly came to The End. |
